The Skål Club of the Canadian Rockies, in partnership with Skål Canada, has brought together all sectors of the tourism industry to support Jasper.
The Skål Club of the Canadian Rockies last month launched a global online silent auction, with all proceeds to be donated to the Jasper Community Team Society.
“This financial support will be instrumental in restoring Jasper’s tourism infrastructure and bolstering the community as it navigates its path to recovery,” said Gord Stermann, President of Skål Canadian Rockies.
Various tourism and hospitality operators donated experiences and items for auction, including hotel stays, restaurant experiences, ski lift tickets and more with all funds going to Jasper relief.
Stermann said these contributions are just one part of the Rockies’ hospitality industry’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Jasper community during this critical time.
“We strongly endorse all efforts to rebuild Jasper efficiently and expeditiously, and we are committed to playing our part in ensuring the town’s tourism-based economy return to its former glory,” he said.
