One of Jasper’s favourite Christmas events is underway.
The 23rd annual Festival of Trees celebration, presented by the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives, is a chance for businesses, organizations and individuals to contribute to the community, all while giving holiday shoppers the chance to double their impact on museum programs and events.
“We want you to come in, see festival displays in person, and help our biggest annual fundraiser,” coordinator Ann Thomas said.
Last year the Festival of Trees unwrapped $15,000 worth of support. More than 120 displays are set up in 2023.
“We appreciate the support of the many, many people who work to help keep the museum doors open,” Thomas said.
Bidders can see the trees in person at the museum (400 Bonhomme Street). The exhibit will be open at the museum 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursday to Sunday until 3 p.m. Dec. 16. The online auction will be open until December 16 at 3 p.m.
A Wine and Cheese Reception for the Festival of Trees will also be hosted at the museum on Friday, December 1, from 7-9 p.m. Holiday carollers will lead familiar Christmas songs.
