Members of Jasper municipal council, administration and operations staff unveiled the town’s new logo on Wednesday, April 27.
Introducing the town’s new brand, Mayor Richard Ireland said after nearly two decades of using the MOJ’s previous logo, it was time for a change.
“These milestone editions will take us a long way in modernizing and standardizing the communications of the municipality,” Ireland said.
Efforts to update the logo were spurred by the town launching a new website, a sneak peek at which was also given to those in attendance. Funding comes from a grant obtained by the Ministry of Labour and Immigration. It was awarded to Jasper so staff, with the help of consultants, could create a more inclusive, accessible website and visual identity.
“Jasper sets itself apart by its sense of community,” Ireland said. “It’s inclusive, laid-back, inspiring and authentic.”
